Groveyard
A sprout's journey home.
In a forest frozen at the end of winter, a tiny sprout opens its leaves and starts to walk. Every step toward home is a step toward growing up — and as you grow, the world warms with you. Hop from leaf to leaf across cold puddles, decode the runes of the canyon, and finally take root in the grove that's been waiting for you.
A short atmospheric top-down traversal game with four evolutions and a world that shifts from dormant lilac to full spring color as you progress. Roughly 10–15 minutes.
Made solo in 48 hours for Spring 2D Jam '26 (theme: Evolution).
Controls
- WASD / Arrows — move
- Space — jump (form-specific)
- R — respawn at last checkpoint
Asset Declaration
Every pixel of art and every frame of animation was hand-drawn frame-by-frame in Aseprite during the jam. No AI-generated art is in this game.
